Psychoanalytic, Holistic and Integrative Psychotherapy

There is a wisdom within you, quiet, steady, and often buried beneath layers of pain, coping, and survival. Therapy is a space to pause and reconnect with yourself, contact that wisdom, and what matters most. I believe that healing unfolds in the context of a comfortable, attuned relationship, where you are understood.

Hi, I’m Nafeesa (MPH, RPQ). I’ve spent over two decades working in health care, including at CAMH, and while that work was deeply meaningful, I always felt a quiet calling toward psychology and the ways people heal. My own journey, including being adopted and experiencing the loss of loved ones at a young age, deeply informs my understanding of resilience, attachment, and the search for belonging. Eventually, I chose to follow that calling and pivoted my career into psychotherapy, a path that continues to feel both humbling and deeply rewarding. In addition, I am also a Theta Healing and Reiki practitioner.

Outside of work, I’m a mother and an entrepreneur. I find balance and joy through movement, whether it’s walking or training for new challenges. I also enjoy quiet moments spent crocheting, writing, and baking. I love traveling and have had the opportunity to live abroad, which has given me appreciation for different people and cultures.

In my practice, I work with adults navigating a wide range of concerns — from anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges, to relationship and attachment difficulties, trauma and emotional wounds, and major life transitions. I also support clients through professional and interpersonal struggles, as well as neurodivergence (including ADHD and Autism Spectrum), neurological conditions, Obsessive-Compulsive tendencies, disordered eating, and Borderline Personality Disorder.

I believe healing happens when we gently move out of our heads, tend to the heart, and allow the wisdom of everyday life to guide us forward.

Our work honors your unique experience , whether shaped by family, culture, faith, or identity and creates a home for all the ways you hold your story.

I am a trauma-informed therapist, and I believe in caring for the whole person, mind, body, and soul. In our work together, I integrate practices such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and somatic therapy. These approaches help you overcome overwhelming emotions, heal from painful memories, and rediscover trust in yourself.

My approach is holistic, client-centered, integrating mindfulness, and somatic awareness, to help you feel grounded. Together, we will gently uncover any challenges and we will make room for new insights, self-compassion, and meaningful change.

I know what it’s like to search for clarity in seasons of uncertainty. My goal is to sit with you through those uncertainties, not rush you past them.

I work with men, women, youth, adults, and families, welcoming people from all walks of life, regardless of race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation. It’s important to me that therapy feels like a comfortable and inclusive space where you can bring your whole self without judgment. I support clients of diverse identities, across cultural backgrounds, faiths, neurotypes, and life paths. You are welcome exactly as you are.

Every experience teaches us something. Some bring clarity, some bring peace,
others bring closure, perspective, or growth. More than anything, each experience
has the potential to ground you, if you allow it, and some guide you closer to yourself.

What to expect in a session…

In our sessions, you can expect a calm and supportive space where you are met with curiosity, and compassion. We move at your pace, exploring your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a way that feels safe and grounding. You don’t have to have the right words, your tears, silences, or even uncertainty are all welcome here.

Together, we will notice what comes up in the moment, make sense of how past experiences may be shaping your present, and gently explore new ways of relating to yourself and others.

My role is to walk alongside you with warmth and non-judgment as you uncover clarity, healing, and a deeper connection to yourself.

I strive to make therapy accessible while maintaining the quality and focus each client deserves. My standard session fee is $150 CAD per 50-minute session. I also offer a sliding scale, as I believe therapy should be within reach no matter your circumstances. Please feel free to reach out to discuss what might work best for you. Payment can be made by e-transfer.

Many extended health insurance plans offer reimbursement for psychotherapy, and I’m happy to provide the necessary receipts to support claims.

I am accepting new clients. Therapy is available in person or online, giving you the flexibility to meet in the way that best supports your needs.
